Lesson 1
The Meaning of “Insignificant”
As an adjective, “insignificant” means not significant; as lacking meaning or import; meaningless; having no importance; unimportant; lacking weight or position (as from character, social standing, influence); contemptible; of little size or importance, or small (Merriam-Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary, s.v. “Insignificant”).
An Object Lesson in Transitory Usefulness
The illegal aliens entering the United States should take the chaos in Afghanistan as an object lesson in transitory usefulness: Once you no longer advance the power-intensifying interests of the U. S. ruling elites you are no longer of any use, and can be ignored as irrelevant. As I recall, “deplorables” was one term used to describe an irrelevant segment of the population.
America, through the soldiers serving in Afghanistan, made promises that Afghans who aided United States’ interests would be granted immigration privileges in return for their service. In a “country” where aiding the enemy in any manner is considered a treasonous activity punishable by death, promises such as immigration acceleration become matters of life or death.
The Obriceklainiden administration’s decision to abandon American citizens in Afghanistan, who were instructed to “shelter-in-place,” as well as abandoning Afghans who served America at the real peril of their own lives, should be a object lesson to those crossing the southern border: When you no longer serve to advance the power-intensifying interests of the ruling elites, you too will deemed irrelevant, and abandoned.
