A New York Twist For Reenactments

Point and Shout

Kathy-“Get the Shot”-Hochul and the New York legislative Karens give a new twist to American Revolution and Civil War reenactments.

The newly enacted firearms law in New York that went into effect 1 September, which prohibits firearms from public spaces includes black powder firearms, has no provisional exceptions. Consequently, organizations that perform reenactments of American Revolution and the Civil War battles have had to cancel their performances (“Liberals Ruin Civil War Reenactment with New Gun Control Law!”).

Being the twisted, anti-stupidity caricature that I am, I think those organizers should go full bore with their reenactment plans, anyway. Advertise the heck out of them!

Then, on the day of the reenactment, show up without firearms, but rather use finger guns and shout “bang” when it’s time to fire a volley. That ought to impress any visitors who have the temerity to show up for a battle reenactment.
