They’re Doing It Again!

First Things First

Murder is wrong, evil, and not in God’s will (Ex 20:13)!! The murders committed by these men in Cherokee County and Boulder are despicable! I pray for the families affected. I also pray that God thwart yet unrealized events like this. I pray for this country.

That Evil, Nasty, Inanimate Object

Atlanta, Boulder, and the “Never let a crisis go to waste” pantywaists.

Once again, I am reminded of (now) NC Lt. Governor Robinson’s impassioned presentation before his city council some years ago: “When are you going to stand up for the majority? And here’s who the majority is–I’m the majority. I’m a law-abiding citizen who never shot anybody, never committed a serious crime, never committed a felony. . . . But it seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet! You want to turn around and restrict my rights, Constitutional rights, spelled out in black and white. You want to restrict my rights to buy a firearm and protect myself from some of the very people you’re talking about in here, . . .”

Like him, I am sick and tired of Demo’s trotting out their dog-eared, mimeographed speech sheets to spew their self-righteous, virtue signalling bilge against the Constitutional RIGHT to keep and bear arms. I wonder why they don’t save time and just use puppets, or old video clips of themselves doing the same thing over and over and over. . . . Of course, if you are a post-constitutionalist, then the Constitution doesn’t really matter anyway.

I have been around firearms most of my life. During my stint in the military, I saw, and shot, REAL automatic, assault weapons, not the black, semi-automatic look-alikes that so thoroughly frighten “Karens,” female and male. I have never seen one of those guns, when laying on a table, get up and shoot someone by itself–not ever!

Plug the Holes

As more data emerges about the Cherokee County and Boulder shootings, mental health seems to be a contributing factor. A data point the Demos don’t want to talk about is that the mentally ill are not allowed access to firearms–they are “prohibited persons” in the jargon of the ATF.

A question seems to arise. If those with mental health issues are not permitted to buy or possess firearms, then how did these two get firearms? Is HIPPA slowing the release of mental health issues to NICS? Data is also emerging that the Boulder shooter was “known to the FBI.” Why, and what does it mean?

These data points suggest the task at hand is to plug the holes, and ensure the names of “prohibited persons” are in the NICS database.

So, Now We Come to the Real Agenda of the Demos

Karens (i. e., Everytown, Giffords, etc.) aside, we get to what I think is the real agenda of the control-seeking Demos: Removing access to all firearms–achieving a zero-defect society and culture. If all self-reliance is removed, then residents have to rely on Uncle Government for their every need.

Reliance entails control. Self-reliance fosters independence.

For a moment, consider the introductory clause of the Second Amendment as explicated by Justice Scalia: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State. . . .” Reflect for a moment what the writers of our Constitution only recently had gone through. They fought for liberty from an oppressive government, an oppressive State. They knew what was, and is, required to secure and maintain a free State–the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Remove that access, remove the ability of citizens (the people) to keep and bear arms, and the people, the citizens of the state, the hoi poloi, become vulnerable to every extra- and post-Constitutional restriction imposed on them by an oligarchic, elitist, disdainful ruling class that cares only about creating and maintaining its own privilege.

When one examines the background of our founders, one sees that virtually all of them left public office broke. All their resources had been expended to support freedom’s cause and State they created. Contrast that image to recent presidential figures and their current statuses. It seems for all save one there was enrichment gained from the access, prestige, and political clout of public office. The agenda seems to be all about creating and maintaining the privilege of the oligarchic ruling class at the expense of the hoi poloi, while ensuring they never threaten that privilege under the pretense of sacrificing liberty to achieve safety and security.

The Next Step

Now, it comes down to what can we do? Join, engage in, and contribute to the firearm advocacy group of your choice: Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), Gun Owners of America (GOA), National Rifle Association (NRA). All of these groups email subscribers with alerts when legislation is presented in the House or the Senate, and each of them provides subscribers with automated tools to inform their Representatives and Senators of their positions.
