A Fifteen-Headed Hydra
Hydra:
A multi-headed monster of Greek mythology that had poisonous breath and blood so virulent that even its scent was deadly. Some versions gave the hydra a regeneration quality in that if one head was chopped off, two would return in its place.
Fifteen Administrations+?
Recent press conferences conducted by !President Biden’s press secretary suggest a disturbing trend. When asked about policies set by Federal Department heads, Psaki’s frequent response goes something like, “You’ll have to ask the (X) Department about that.”
Whaaa? I thought Psaki worked for, and represented the chief executive of the United States. Does not a chief executive set overall policy? Does this chief executive not know what his department heads are doing? I know, silly questions.
If the answer is that he does not know, then the policy-making is at least a fifteen-headed hydra, where each department functionally acts independently of the chief executive. Very likely it has even more heads since Congress seems to be setting its own agenda, and the potential for the FBI, ostensibly a component of the Justice Department, to go rogue once again in concert with the CIA, let alone the ATF going its own way. And the list goes on.
There is one thing we can depend on, though: Each department will be woke. Oh, goody.
Oh yeah, how do I get to the Ministry of Unity?
